The Government of Nepal was hosting a Regional Climate Conference titled “Kathmandu to Copenhagen,” from August 31 to September 1, 2009. It would bring together Ministers, high level officials,Much to the dismay of an ordinary Pakistani, 11.5 million people out of 170 million people fall under the category of mental illness, according to the speakers at a conference held at King Edward Medical University. Mental health is defined as a state of well-being in which every individual realizes his or her own potential, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution to her or his community.

It is believed that over 66 per cent of the population of Pakistan is affected by common mental disorders, especially anxiety and depression. During depression, the patient can suffer the major mental disorder and he can want to commit suicide. IT is sorry state of affairs that all the major problems that lead to depression are interlinked in our country. For example, soaring prices are irritating the people of Pakistan too much. The inflation has hit the country very hard. You can witness that inflation causes stress, stress leads to gradual depression, and depression is the major cause of suicide and other such attempts. By the year 2020, depression will become the second most-widely spread disorder worldwide according to a recent study by the World Health Organisation (WHO).
